While provincial coffers are bursting at the seams, many people are finding it harder and harder to make ends meet or to enjoy the traditionally high quality of life Saskatchewan people have come to expect. 

For decades, Saskatchewan people have benefitted from a strong and innovative publicly-owned Crown sector, which helps to build a strong economy and healthy communities across the province. Saskatchewan New Democrats are proud of the role we have played in building and protecting a vibrant Crown sector for our children and for generations to come.

Wind power, biomass, geothermal energy, solar power – these are just a few examples where Saskatchewan can and should be leading. Unfortunately, we are starting to fall behind. Nothing short of bold vision and concrete action will help us meet the challenges of global warming and climate change.
