“I know Jack is a fighter, and I know that he’ll win this fight,” said Lingenfelter. “With the love and support of his friends and family, Jack will come through this just fine,” Lingenfelter added.
Lingenfelter was pleased that Layton’s treatment regime would not interfere with his ability to serve his constituents as MP for Toronto Danforth, and all New Democrats as party leader in Parliament.
“All Saskatchewan New Democrats and, indeed, all Canadians, will join me in wishing Jack all the best as he continues to work on the people’s behalf in the House of Commons,” said Lingenfelter. “It’s that kind of determination that will see Jack come through this healthy and strong,” concluded Lingenfelter.
